August 5th Cardio Circuit

I had a pretty rough day with the kids today, so as soon as they were in their beds, I decided to take my cardio outside. I did a quick jog down to the soccer fields by our house and kind of made this one up on the fly, but it was a pretty good one, so I thought I'd share with you. As always, just do anything you want to do that will get your heart pumping for about an hour today. This particular workout is pretty hard, so I wouldn't recommend it for any beginners.

Outside Plyometric Cardio

1) Jumping Jacks - 25
2) Suicide Sprints - I used the streetlights as markers so 5 times out and back though the length of the soccer field
3) Jumping Squats - 15
4) High Knees - pretty much a quick jog in place but your knees hit waist high - 1 minute
5) Plyo-Jumps - just like a jumping squat but with a lot more power behind it, and raising knees to chest mid-jump
6) Mountain Climbers - 45 seconds
7) Side Plank Jumps - squat down, jump feet to left side plank, return, jump feet to right side plank - repeat 15 times
8) Suicide Sprints - 5 out and back
9) Jumping Squats with Side Kick out - 20
10) 8 count body builders - 15 (1. from standing squat down, 2. jump feet back, 3. push up down, 4. push back up, 5. kick legs apart, 6. legs back together, 7. jump back to squat, 8. stand back up)
